We are very proud of our children and the inclusive nature of our school. The wearing of the correct school uniform is very important in demonstrating pride in our school, a sense of belonging and equality for all. This reinforces our belief in ‘Aiming High’ with high standards of appearance encouraging our children to be positive role models to one another.

There may be good reasons why a child is not wearing school uniform. In this case, parents and carers should share the reasons with their child’s teacher either in person or by letter. In line with our ‘open-door’ policy we encourage discussion with the school at the earliest opportunity if there are any difficulties.

Boys:

• Grey Trousers
• White polo shirt or cotton shirt
• Burgundy sweatshirt with the school logo
• Black / grey socks
• Black shoes – NO TRAINERS

Girls:

• Grey skirt, pinafore dress or trousers
• White polo shirt or cotton blouse
• Burgundy sweatshirt or cardigan with the school logo
• White or grey socks or tights
• Black shoes – NO TRAINERS. Open-toed sandals, heeled shoes and boots are not appropriate for school.

Summer Uniform:

Summer uniform can be worn for the Summer Term, which commences after the Easter Holiday.

• Boys: Grey shorts
• Girls: Grey shorts or blue and white checked dresses

Additional items:

A burgundy fleece with the school logo is also available for your child to wear outdoors. Children should also bring a coat to school each day (unless it is warm and dry) which needs to be practical and appropriate for the weather.

PE Kit:

Each week, every class will have two PE lessons (one indoors – dance or gym – and one outdoors). On the two days when a class has their PE lessons, the children in that class will come to school in their PE kit rather than their uniform. Their PE kit is viewed as their ‘PE Uniform’ so it is essential that children continue to dress appropriately based on this policy.

Boys and girls:

• Plain black shorts (or skorts for girls) or plain black/dark grey tracksuit bottoms (weather dependent)
• A plain dark grey sweatshirt (these are available with a school logo)
• A coloured t-shirt in your child’s house colour
• A pair of trainers for outdoor PE (indoor plimsolls are not required)

Additional Information:

• All uniform should be clearly named. School cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage of pupils’ property.
• Earrings should be small plain studs and must be removed by the child for all PE lessons – covering them with surgical tape is no longer permitted due to health and safety guidelines.
• Our school uniform is available at Brenda’s Website or Brenda’s Schoolwear in Camberley.
• Nail varnish, false nails and make-up should not be worn.
• Pupils’ hair should be neat and tidy. All children with longer hair are expected to have it tied back. This is for health and safety reasons as well as to guard against the spread of headlice. Subtle use of hair sprays and gel should be applied before school if needed to keep hair looking tidy.
• Extreme hairstyles, spiked, coloured hair or designs shaved into the hair are not acceptable.
• Hair bands and bows should be small in size and a plain colour.
