Safeguarding

At Cove Junior School we are committed to keeping children safe and providing an environment that promotes their health, happiness and well-being.

All pupils in our school can talk to any member of staff about situations which are causing them worries. All staff have appropriate Safeguarding training and are subject to background checks before appointment. The staff will listen to the pupil, take their worries seriously and share necessary information with the safeguarding lead.

Key Staff:

Mrs T Hickie – Designated Safeguarding Lead

Mr W Gargan – Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

Mrs M Gujer – Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

Miss E Baker – Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

The safety and well-being of all of the children and families within our school community is priority for all of our staff and we work within the frameworks of our Safeguarding Policy and the Keeping Children Safe in Education documents.
